The project helped identify potential data sources and combine them to achieve a road transport model that includes data on the structure of the vehicle fleet, mileage of individual types of vehicles, fuel used for transportation and other parameters. These data are very useful in assigning emissions to NACE rev. 2 factors and household factors, as well as the estimation of emissions for national inventories and projects, which are very important for the development of new policies and the reduction of emissions.
The information obtained by comparing AEA and PEFA accounts is a valuable basis for further and more complex analyses, and their outputs can be used for policymakers in Slovakia. These analyzes help to correctly target the support and subsidy mechanisms to the activity with a higher GVA and not to motivate it to be affected by the impact on the environment and low added value.
