This April, we sent the second and final version of air pollutants emission projections for the Slovak Republic under the LRTAP Convention and the NEC Directive for the period 1990-2021 to the EU and UNECE. At the same time, the second version of the Informative inventory report (IIR) was reported, which was supplemented by an update of the data and methodological procedures used in emission projections.
According to the latest projections, Slovakia will be able to meet its obligations for the period 2020-2029 for all air pollutants without having to introduce new measures for reducing NOx, SOx, NMVOC, NH3 and PM2.5 emissions. The commitment for the period after 2030 will be able to be met without further measures for NOx, SOx, NMVOC and PM2.5. In order to achieve the commitment for ammonia (reduction by 30% compared to 2005), additional measures are necessary.
