The inclusion of SHMÚ, and specifically our department, in the National Statistical System of the Slovak Republic and the system of Other National Authorities (ONAs) was accompanied by a demanding administrative process. We had to fill out a self-assessment questionnaire as part of implementing the Code of Practice for European Statistics. In June 2023, after a two-year process, we participated in an international review by experts from EUROSTAT, where we presented our system. The peer review went smoothly, and in its report, EUROSTAT noted the importance of maintaining an up-to-date and publicly accessible publication calendar.
